We are four 55 - 65 year old women from the UK racing over 3000 miles through 14 states from the Pacific to the Atlantic Coast in June 2008. We will be taking part in RAAM, Race Across America (www.raceacrossamerica.org), the longest running ultra-distance bicycle endurance competition in the world. 

Our mission is to promote sport for older women.

Our aims are

• To encourage and inspire older women to participate in sport.

• To show that competitive sport remains possible for ordinary women and how it has enriched our lives by increasing our self esteem, confidence, independence and health in later life; helping us to deal with serious medical conditions.

• To raise money for charities close to our hearts.

This site has information on what motivates us, and why we think we have the credentials for participating in this ultra-distance event.  We explain how we will train for the race, over the next six months, and we give regular updates on how our training is progressing.
